The patent that started it all. Ed Headrick's U.S. Patent #3,359,678 from 1967 greatly helped legitimize the sport of ultimate. Ed was a pioneer in the early days of ultimate, founding multiple frisbee associations and actively promoting the sport through commercials, world events and travelling the world to share the sport we've come to love.
